Primavera: Samp v AC Milan to inaugurate new Academy pitch

Saturday 19 November will be a historic day for Sampdoria and the club’s youth academy, as the Blucerchiati Primavera side plays its first-ever competitive match on the new Academy pitch at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini in Bogliasco.

Having spent years playing away from the training ground, the Primavera are ready to return after many months of renovation work. Francesco Pedone’s team will welcome AC Milan to the Academy pitch for their Week 8 league game on Saturday, with kick-off set for 13:00 CET.

The Academy pitch is the first step in a wider infrastructural development programme championed by president Massimo Ferrero and the club as a whole. The objective is to transform the training ground into a cutting-edge, fully equipped football hub capable of accommodating and improving both the first team and the youth academy.

To mark the occasion, we’ll be running a Samp Village in the square next to the ground from 11:00 CET on Saturday. There will be games for children, entertainment and competitions, plus clothing and accessories from Sampdoria Point. Entrance is free of charge.
