Football People Action Weeks: Sampdoria make a stand against racism

Sampdoria are once again taking a stand against racism. For the fourth straight year, U.C. Sampdoria are supporting tolerance and social inclusion. Since 1999, the Football Against Racism in Europe network (FARE) has been running Football People Action Weeks. This year’s edition will be held from 6 to 20 October, as once again fans, ethnic minorities and sports associations come together to support the fight against all forms of discrimination.

The Blucerchiati have given their backing to the campaign which says no to racism. Five members of the club have lent their faces to scheme at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini in Bogliasco. Coach Marco Giampaolo was joined by captain Vasco Regini, Ricardo Alvarez, Lucas Torreira and Stanley Amuzie to say no to racism with specific T-shirts printed for the occasion. This spirit must become a permanent fixture not only in football ground but in everyday life too.
