Sampdoria eSports team for eSerie A TIM unveiled
We are getting ready for eSerie A TIM. In anticipation of the first ever virtual league involving Italian clubs, UC Sampdoria has unveiled its star-studded line-up. Four expert gamers are set to wear the club’s colours, with two competing on FIFA 20 and two on PES 2020. The three new signings – Thomas Saiani, Francesco Bartolozzi and Nicolo Sesto – were among the best video gamers in Italy during the winter qualifiers that were organised by the Lega Serie A and they will now be able to fulfil their dream of representing an Italian football club.
Captain Mattia Lonewolf92 Guarracino welcomed them to the team and spoke of his excitement about embarking on this new and exciting adventure: “I want to wish my new #Sampdoria #eSports team-mates the best of luck, with the team expanding ahead of #eSerieATIM. It’ll be an honour to be your captain.”
Thomas Saiani, born in Brescia on 23 October 1996, will be alongside Guarracino on FIFA. ASAPTOM96, who made his debut on the world stage this year in the eClub World Cup 2020 qualifiers, wants to show what he can do for the Blucerchiati. Saiani, who will wear the number 96, explained his reaction to the call-up: “I had goosebumps when I saw the message come through. I’ve kept the secret until now and can’t wait to tell my father. I’ll be representing #Sampdoria and wearing the most beautiful kit in the world. I’ll prove that I deserve the faith shown in me.”
Francesco Bartolazzi, born in Pisa on 13 September 1995, will take part in eSerie A TIM on PES. As a pro gamer since 2014, FranBartoz has taken part in four national finals: 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2019 (online). During the course of the current season, the Tuscan has taken part in the selection process for the eNazionale, finishing in the top 16 and qualifying for the regional finals in the process. Bartolazzi will wear the number 13.
Nicolo Sesto, born in Lucca on 7 January 1993, will compete in eSerie A TIM on PES. In 2013, Teclas93 finished first in the Italian finals, a feat which he replicated last season on PES 2019. The winner of the FIGC UEFA EURO 2020 tournament in Cesena, who will wear the number 93, spoke of his enjoyment at getting the call: “I’m pleased to represent one of the biggest clubs in Italy. It’s now official. I’ll be playing in #eSerieATIM for #Sampdoria.”
