Dugout, Throwback: Samp put four past Cagliari as Quagliarella sets personal Serie A record
On 29 April 2018, Sampdoria produced a scintillating display of football to beat Cagliari 4-1 in Marassi on the day Fabio Quagliarella set a new personal record for goals scored in a single Serie A season.
The skipper could even afford the luxury of missing a penalty as he notched Samp’s second of the day after Dennis Praet’s opener, taking his tally to 19 for the campaign.
Further goals by Dawid Kownacki and Gaston Ramirez completed the rout, with Pavoletti netting a consolation goal for the visitors in between.
