Feliz cumpleaños, Sergio Romero: the best of the Argentine keeper’s Samp career
Happy birthday, Sergio Romero!
The former Sampdoria goalkeeper – who has been at Manchester United since 2015 – turns 32 today. Romero had some memorable times at Doria, the club he joined in the summer of 2011 and remained until the 2014/15 season, apart from a yearlong loan spell at Monaco.
Romero – who was a runner-up at the World Cup in 2014, losing out to fellow Samp alumnus Shkodran Mustafi – helped take us back to Serie A, where he showcased his talents with a string of super saves and earned a reputation as a penalty specialist.
