Sampdoria to face Viterbese in Coppa Italia third round

Viterbese Castrense will be Sampdoria’s third-round opponents in the Coppa Italia after they stunned Ascoli in the second round on Saturday.

The Serie C outfit put four unanswered goals past their Serie B hosts at the Stadio Del Duca, with Ngissah (34), Zerbin (38) and Vandeputte (71, 84) on the score sheet.

The reward for their exploits is a trip to the Stadio Ferraris next weekend. Kick-off time is yet to be confirmed.
