Ventura tells Samp TV: “Unforgettable memories, Doria feels like home”
The boy done good. From the Sampdoria academy to head coach of the Italian national team, it’s been quite a ride for Giampiero Ventura.
It hasn’t always been easy but that makes it no less enjoyable: “Being here in Bogliasco is a homecoming for me,” revealed the Azzurri chief in an exclusive interview with Samp TV during his visit to the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini.
“It’s a homecoming because I’m from Genoa and I spent a significant portion of my life with the Blucerchiati. I started playing here aged 12, before working with Canali and Giorgis, then finally I had the chance to coach this team. I have countless memories.”
