So Foot Club: Sampdoria voted Europe’s nicest shirt
Praise indeed for the Blucerchiati colours. In their October edition, French monthly football magazine So Foot Club has produced a ranking of the 50 nicest football shirts of all time based on aesthetic, historic and nostalgic appeal.
Boca Juniors’ 1981 vintage has claimed top spot, with Sampdoria the leading European jersey – the Blucerchiati finishing second in the world. The shirt in question is the one from the Scudetto-winning side in the early 90s, with Vialli and Mancini inspiring Sampdoria to domestic success and within a whisker of the 1992 European Cup.
