22-man squad to face AC Milan. Cassano ruled out with muscle problem

Sampdoria trained for the final time on the upper pitch at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini ahead of their game on Sunday. Vincenzo Montella meticulously followed the session he put together with his coaching staff, with the players working on tactics, set-pieces and training games after the usual warm-up.

Antonio Cassano, struggling with a muscle injury, spent the session having treatment and physio. Along with Carlos Carbonero (undergoing rehab in Barcelona), David Ivan and Jacopo Sala (personalised recovery programmes in Bogliasco), the forward has not been included in the coach’s squad for Sunday’s game against AC Milan. Samp will also be without the suspended Andrea Ranocchia. Below is the full list of those available for selection.

Defenders: Cassani, De Silvestri, Diakité, Dodô, Moisander, Pereira, Silvestre, Skriniar.
