Happy birthday Flachi: “Sampdoria were the best gift I ever received”

On the day of his 41st birthday Francesco Flachi was the one handing out gifts, giving an exclusive and honest interview to Samp TV.

We travelled to Florence to chat with the former Samp star, covering the eight years he spent wearing the most beautiful shirt in the world and reiterating – if ever he needed to – his close bond with the Blucerchiati fans and club.

“Sampdoria was the best gift I ever received,” Flachi admitted. “Doria fans gave me something that no one else had done.

“I recognise them immediately when they come to see me in Florence by the way they look at me. Some of them grew up with me and view me as a hero. I hope this bond between us will last forever.”
