Prep for Fiorentina trip continues, Friday afternoon training behind closed doors

Sampdoria were out at training today to continue laying the groundwork for Sunday’s trip to play Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Vincenzo Montella put his players through their paces with a series of tactical and technical drills as well as some training games in front of the fans who made the trip up to watch the session.

Milan Skriniar and David Ivan were back with the squad after returning from international duty with Slovakia. Daniel Guida, Alessio Tissone, Giacomo Calo and Leonardo Serinelli from the Primavera side joined in with first-team training.

During the afternoon, Pedro Pereira suffered a bruise to his right ankle and took no further part in the workout. Niklas Moisander and Angelo Palombo went through their personalised training programmes, while Carlos Carbonero continued his return to fitness in Barcelona.

After a 12-hour flight from Bogota, the Blucerchiati’s other Colombian Luis Muriel has made his return to Bogliasco. He’ll join in tomorrow’s afternoon session behind closed doors.
