Afternoon training in the Mugnaini sun

Clear skies greeted the Sampdoria squad as they hit the main pitch at the Mugnaini for training today, their ranks bolstered by academy boys Giacomo Calò, Giedrius Matulevicius, Andres Ponce and Leonardo Serinelli.

After a series of possession games, the Blucerchiati did ball drills then played some small-sided games.

Slovak duo David Ivan and Milan Skrian trained with the team this afternoon before setting off on international duty tomorrow, while Niklas Moisander departed today.

Fernando Lucas Martins, Ricky Alvarez, Dodo Rodolfo Pires, Fabio Quagliarella and Matias Silvestre underwent part of the session with the main group before doing individual fitness work.

Carlos Carbonero continues his post-op recovery in Barcelona while Angelo Palombo had more physio and treatment today.

The team will next train on Wednesday afternoon.
