Double session at the Mugnaini, Ivan and Sala making good progress

Vincenzo Montella’s Sampdoria squad were greeted with wintery conditions in Bogliasco on Tuesday as they began their preparations for Saturday’s away day at Empoli.

The morning session saw the Blucerchiati focus on fitness in the gym and out on the pitch, before moving on with tactics and technical drills after lunch.

There was good news from the treatment room with David Ivan and Jacopo Sala both nearing a return to full training, though Carlos Carbonero is still a way off.

Samp will train again on Wednesday afternoon.
