Doria strengthen backline: Ranocchia joins on loan from Inter

President Massimo Ferrero and everyone at U.C. Sampdoria would like to extend a very warm welcome to Andrea Ranocchia.

The 27-year-old centre-back – born in Assisi, Perugia, on 16 February 1988 – joins the club on loan from F.C. Internazionale.

After passing routine medical exams this morning, the defender trained with his new team-mates this afternoon.

Andrea will wear the No.16 shirt at Sampdoria.
