Correa on his first goal: “A shame it didn’t lead to a result. Now let’s focus on Napoli”
Joaquin Correa would have preferred it if his first-ever goal in Italian football had contributed to picking up points for Sampdoria and the fans.
“I’m disappointed my first goal didn’t come in useful,” the Argentine midfielder declared to Samp TV. “We reacted well after they went into the lead but we couldn’t create anything clear-cut following their second goal.”
Carpi was a golden opportunity for the Blucerchiati to pick up points, with the fixture list not promising any easy rides.
“Now we have to focus on Napoli, who are a great team,” Samp’s No.10 continued. “We need to get back to playing as we’ve done so far. Let’s try to do our best.”
