Fernando taking nothing for granted against Carpi: “No easy games in Italy”
He scored a wondergoal from a free-kick in the same fixture at the beginning of the season – incidentally also his debut in Serie A. Now Fernando Lucas Martins is fully concentrated on the return match against Carpi in Modena on Sunday.
“We want to start the second half of the season well and we have to forget the 5-2 last August,” declared the Brazilian midfielder.
“There are no easy matches in Italy so we’ll have maximum respect for Carpi and we’ll pay a lot of attention to what Vincenzo Montella asks of us.
“Let’s hope I score another goal but the result of the team is what counts.”
