Sampdoria were split in two groups for their Saturday afternoon training session at the Mugnaini as they look to recover from Thursday’s Coppa Italia match ahead of their league meeting with Palermo on Sunday.

Meanwhile Edgar Barreto, Eder Citadin Martins and Matías Silvestre followed personalised training programmes.

The Blucerchiati will reconvene on the training ground on Sunday morning to finalise their preparations for the 18:00 CET kick-off at Marassi.

All the players except Ervin Zukanovic (suspended) are in the squad for the match.
