President Ferrero, Romei and Osti watch Tuesday training in Bogliasco. Double workout on Wednesday

Vincenzo Montella and his backroom team put the Blucerchiati through a training session involving gym work, athletic exercises and technical drills at the Mugnaini today.

President Massimo Ferrero, Antonio Romei and sporting director Carlo Osti took in the morning workout – held behind closed doors – which saw the return of birthday boy Emiliano Viviano (30 today) to full training with the squad.

Nenad Krsticic had a fitness test while his team-mates Niklas Moisander and Joaquín Correa continued with their individual recovery programmes and Andrea Coda was allowed to take the day off.

A double session – once again behind closed doors – is planned on Wednesday.
