De Silvestri half happy: “Great to get back out there, sorry about the defeat”

Back in action, 149 days later. That’s how long it had been since Lorenzo De Silvestri got injured in Split on international duty with Italy.

“I’m glad to be back on the pitch after nearly five months out and to have played the full 90 minutes,” the full-back told Samp TV.

“It’s a shame about the result but you have to give credit to Fiorentina for playing so well.

“I wanted to get back in the national set-up. After the international break we’ll work on bouncing back from this defeat.”
