Friendly match against Sarzanese, thigh problem for Correa
There were two special visitors at the Centro Sportivo Mugnaini in Bogliasco today. Gianluca Vialli was first up: in the area due to television commitments, the legendary Samp striker dropped by to see some old friends – including coach Walter Zenga. Next came president Massimo Ferrero, who – alongside sporting director Carlo Osti – was there to observe an 80-minute friendly match played against Tharros Sarzenese. Those first-team players not involved in the match trained in groups on the lower pitch.
During the friendly Joaquin Correa sustained a muscle injury to his right thigh. President Ferrero consoled the midfielder before he left the pitch. The Argentine will undergo tests over the next few days to ascertain the extent of the injury.
Friday morning will see the Blucerchiati train behind closed doors.
