Back to training in Bogliasco, behind-closed-doors on Saturday

After last night’s efforts against Empoli, Sampdoria were back at the Centro Sportivo Mugnaini for training today as focus turns to the upcoming match against Chievo Verona.

The Blucerchiati players who were heavily involved in yesterday’s game, including Joaquin Correa, went through a warm-down session in the gym and massage rooms. The rest of the squad got down to fitness work, tactical drills and training games out on the pitch. Antonio Cassano also joined in with the more active group.

On the injury front, Vasco Regini had a visit with the physiotherapist while Andrea Coda, Lazaros Christodoulopoulos and Nenad Krsticic continued their individual recovery programmes.

There’s a behind-closed-doors training session planned for tomorrow morning.
