Three train separately in Bogliasco as Empoli encounter nears. Wednesday behind closed doors

Walter Zenga had almost a full squad to work with today as Sampdoria prepare to host Empoli in Marassi on Thursday night.

Andrea Coda, Lazaros Christodoulopoulos and Nenad Krsticic continued their personalised recovery programmes away from the main group while the rest of the players were put through a series of small-sided games focusing on possession and tactics according to position. The Blucerchiati then ended the session with a practice match on a small pitch.

The team will train again (behind closed doors) tomorrow morning.

Walter Zenga is not due to hold a press conference the day before Sampdoria v Empoli.
