Tactical work behind closed doors at the Mugnaini, final session and Zenga press conference on Saturday

Sampdoria trained behind closed doors this morning as they continued preparations in Bogliasco for their home match against Hellas Verona. Lawyer Antonio Romei joined sporting director Carlo Osti in attending the entire session.

After a meeting in the video room and a warm-up in the cage, Walter Zenga and his staff ran a high-intensity short game, followed by work on tactics with the squad split in their positions. Training ended with a short-sided game.

Djamel Mesbah, Matías Silvestre and Edgar Barreto all trained individually on the pitch and in the gym. Andrea Coda, Lazaros Christodoulopoulos and Nenad Krsticic all followed specific programmes. Tomorrow sees a morning session behind closed doors before the manager’s press conference at around 13:00 (live on Samp TV with updates on Twitter).
