New Blucerchiati signings reveal ambitions in unveiling

It was a busy day in Bogliasco today as Sampdoria unveiled their four late summer signings in one press conference. Carlos Carbonero, Lazaros Christodoulopoulos, Michele Rocca and Alejandro Rodríguez were introduced by Doria sporting director Carlo Osti, who declared his satisfaction with the club’s performance in the transfer window.

First up was Greek midfielder Lazaros: “I’m pleased to be here and want to show what I can do.”

It was a sentiment echoed by Italian youngster Rocca, who declared himself up to the challenge of earning a spot in a packed Samp midfield: “Joining the Doria is a dream. I have no problem with competition – that’s how you improve.”

Next to speak was Colombian midfielder Carlos Carbonero: “It was a long old process but I was desperate to come to Sampdoria and I’m made up to be here and to have a chance to show my worth.

Last but not least was striker Alejandro Rodríguez: “I said yes straight away. The other forwards here are fantastic. I was born to score goals and I’m sure we’ll achieve big things together.” Watch the press conference below with English subtitles.
