Muriel, Cassano and Bonazzoli on target in friendly match against the Primavera

Sampdoria enjoyed a good hour’s workout against the Blucerchiati Primavera side in a friendly match played amidst pouring rain in Bogliasco this morning.

Luis Muriel opened the scoring in the 30-minute first half before Antonio Cassano netted either side of the interval and Federico Bonazzoli capped off the scoring late on.

Away from the main event, Christian Puggioni, Angelo Palombo and Gianluca Sampietro trained on the pitch while there was personalised work for Niklas Moisander and Joaquín Correa. Nenad Krsticic had a session with the physio and Djamel Mesbah and Marco Marchionni worked separately.

After the final whistle, Walter Zenga ordered his troops to take a full day off to rest on Sunday before meeting up again in Bogliasco on Monday.

Next weekend Doria kick off their 2015/16 league campaign with a home match against Carpi, Sunday 23 August at 20:45 CEST.
