Samp TV on the up: 10,000 subscribers, almost half a million views
Since its transformation into an exclusively online media outlet, Samp TV has registered exponential growth in terms of subscribers and views.
In just over a month, the number of subscribers to Sampdoria’s official YouTube channel has increased by 10%, breaking the 10,000 milestone. It means that the Blucerchiati are now the seventh-most followed Italian club, with only the likes of Juventus, AC Milan, Inter, Roma, Lazio and Napoli ahead.
The launch of Sampdoria’s international website – alongside English subtitling on all Samp TV videos and an English-language Twitter page updated in real time – has made a big contribution to this success, with around 40% of the views on the club’s YouTube channel coming from outside of Italy. It represents a massive increase in international traffic compared to previous months.
In total, the channel has registered 360,000 views in little over 30 days for an equivalent of 551,000 minutes’ viewing – that’s one year and 17 days’ content! It’s thanks to an inclusive social media strategy from Samp, with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube working in unison to provide the Blucerchiati faithful with an all-encompassing fan experience.
