Chants and applause at the Mugnaini as Cassano steals the show

All eyes were on one man this evening as Walter Zenga and his Sampdoria squad hit the Centro Sportivo Mugnaini’s main pitch at 18:00 CEST. Fresh from signing on the dotted line with the Blucerchiati, Antonio Cassano joined his team-mates for their second training session of the day, kicking things off with a warm-up and some handball minimatches.

The Blucerchiati then worked on offensive and defensive tactics, before focusing on some one-one ones. Zenga rounded the session off with a friendly match on a reduced-size pitch.

Christian Puggioni and Niklas Moisander trained separately, Djamel Mesbah, Marco Marchionni and Gianluca Sampietro worked out in the gym and Joaquín Correa received treatment and physiotherapy before hitting the gym himself. Angelo Palombo has left hospital but stayed home to rest up.

Zenga’s men will be back in training tomorrow!
