Pinzolo: ball and obstacle work in the afternoon. Kalloni friendly on Thursday

After half a day off, Sampdoria were back in training at Pinzolo’s Centro Sportivo Pineta this afternoon. Walter Zenga and his staff had their players begin with ball and obstacle work on pitch two. The players then focused on tactics on the main pitch, with Gigi Cagni running the attacking side and Claudio Bellucci working with the squad defensively.

Goalkeeper Alberto Brignoli ended the session early after twisting his left ankle. Niklas Moisander trained separately on the pitch and in the gym, while Matías Silvestre followed a personalised programme. Christian Puggioni and Joaquín Correa had treatment and physio. Tomorrow sees the final friendly of the second stage of pre-season. Sampdoria meet Greek top-division side Kalloni (kick-off 17:30).
