Irresistible Primavera fire four past Bologna
Marcello Cottafava’s Sampdoria Primavera side crushed Bologna 4-2 on Saturday afternoon to extend their unbeaten run to ten games and move up to fifth place on 31 points.
Felice D’Amico gave Doria the lead on 28 minutes from the penalty spot, before Ibourahima Balde doubled the Blucerchiati’s advantage eight minutes after the restart. D’Amico made it 3-0 – again from the spot – on 65 minutes, before Bologna pulled one back with another penalty ten minutes later.
Michael Brentan gave Samp a 4-1 lead two minutes into second-half stoppage time, and although Bologna got another back with seconds remaining, there was to be no late miracle for the visitors and the final whistle confirmed the three points for Samp.
