Ponte di Legno ends with intra-squad friendly
After two weeks of intense pre-season training, Samp are heading home.
Before leaving for Genoa, Roberto D’Aversa’s men played an in-house friendly of two 35-minute halves in Temu. The squad were split into two teams, one playing in blue and the other in black, and the blacks took home the bragging rights after securing a 3-0 win.
Antonino La Gumina sprung the offside trap and finished off a well-timed counter-attack to open the scoring in the ninth minute, before Nicola Murru’s left-footed strike after 27 minutes doubled the lead. Simone Trimboli sealed the win 24 minutes into the second half, finishing off a perfect team move.
After lunch together at Hotel Mirella, the group will be free for the whole weekend before resuming training in Bogliasco on Monday afternoon.
