Torreira out to earn his Samp stripes: “I’m here for the long haul”

Lucas Torreira joins Sampdoria a year after signing for the club. He spent the last 12 months on loan at Pescara, garnering a wealth of experience while helping the Dolphins gain promotion from Serie B.

Now the Uruguayan midfielder, 20, is a Doria player and he’s keen to grasp the challenge with two hands.

“I feel I’ve got what it takes to be a part of this team. I hope to earn the coach’s confidence and my team-mates’ too,” he told Samp TV.
